Either way, here are 5 easy travel hacks to try:

1. Skipping hotels

In this day and age, you don’t have to settle for hotels, motels, and similar establishments. This may not sound like a real hack, but there are a surprising number of people out there who are unaware of their alternatives. For example, you can potentially find wonderful accommodations that will meet all of your needs through a service like AirBnB.

2. Let’s roll

Most of your clothes can be rolled into your suitcase or other piece of luggage, without causing any damage to the wardrobe itself. This can give you a lot more room, and it’s also a good way to keep things organized.

3. Your documents

Take photo copies (via smart phone) of documents like your passport, photo I.D., and travel itinerary. Having access to these things can prove to be highly useful in the event of theft or damage to these crucial documents. Though, you better have a strong password lock on your device!

4. Fragile bags

Many experienced travelers will tell you that marking your luggage as “FRAGILE” is a great way to ensure your luggage is handled carefully and properly while you are traveling. We can’t promise this will always work. However, it should work more often than not, and you’ll certainly be glad when it does.

5. Bathroom break

If you’re traveling by air, try to get to the bathroom twenty or so minutes before the plane actually lands. This gives you a good window between the present, and when you will actually need to return to your seat. It certainly beats fighting the crowds.
